We’re excited to announce the following slate of tuition-free film camps for the 2026 and 2027!
At The Digg Site, our camps are led by experienced film professionals who bring real-world production knowledge into the classroom. Students don’t just learn about filmmaking—they actively participate in it.
From writing and acting to directing, filming, and editing, every student gains hands-on experience using industry tools and techniques in a collaborative, supportive environment. Along the way, they build confidence, creativity, and teamwork — skills that extend far beyond the screen.
All Digg Site instructors have completed background checks and are committed to providing a safe, supportive space where students can learn and create with confidence. We maintain a strong focus on safety, mentorship, and positive learning experiences in every camp we offer.

From idea to premiere, students collaborate to write, film, and edit their own short movie. Along the way, they’ll learn acting, directing, camera work, and teamwork. The camp wraps with a special screening where families can celebrate their finished film.
🤖 Future Creators: AI Meets Filmmaking
Explore how AI and filmmaking come together to spark new ideas and creative possibilities. Students will use AI tools for story development, visual concepts, and simple effects while learning the fundamentals of filmmaking. Final projects will showcase how technology can enhance—not replace—human storytelling.
📱YouTube/TikTok Creator Camp
Turn your ideas into engaging video content! Students will learn how to plan, film, and edit videos for platforms like YouTube and TikTok while building confidence on camera and keeping online safety at the forefront. Topics include storytelling, editing, thumbnails, and responsible content creation.
🧙 Fantasy & Creature Effects Camp
Step into a world of imagination! Students will create magical stories using costumes, props, and visual effects to bring fantasy worlds and creatures to life. They’ll work together to produce a short film filled with creativity and cinematic effects.
🎤 Mini Documentary Makers
Tell real stories that matter. Students will learn how to research, interview, and film a short documentary focused on a local person, place, or issue. This camp builds storytelling, communication, and real-world filmmaking skills.
đź’Ą Action Movie Camp / Genre-Based Competition
Lights, camera, action! Students will create high-energy short films featuring exciting scenes, dynamic camera work, and creative storytelling. Teams may compete in fun categories while learning safe stunt techniques, pacing, and editing for impact.
đź’Ş Confidence on Camera
Build confidence, communication, and presence on screen. Students will practice speaking on camera, storytelling, and body language while creating their own short video projects. Perfect for beginners looking to find their voice and feel comfortable being seen.
🗺️ Youth Tourism Camp
Discover your community through storytelling. Students will create short videos that highlight local attractions, hidden gems, and experiences in Fremont and the surrounding area. This camp blends filmmaking with community pride and tourism storytelling.
🏪 Local Business Commercial Camp
Create real commercials for real businesses! Students will collaborate with local organizations to develop, film, and edit promotional videos. This hands-on experience teaches marketing, storytelling, and client-based production skills.
🎞️ Stop Motion Camp
Bring stories to life one frame at a time. Students will learn the art of stop motion animation using objects, clay, or drawings. They’ll create their own animated short film while exploring patience, creativity, and visual storytelling.
🎥 Recreate Your Favorite Movie Scene
Step into the director’s chair and recreate an iconic movie moment! Students will study a scene from a popular film and work together to reimagine it shot-for-shot. They’ll learn about camera angles, acting, and what makes a scene unforgettable.
🎨 Cinematic Makeup Camp
Learn the art of makeup for the camera. Students will explore how makeup enhances characters on screen, from natural looks to creative designs. They’ll practice techniques and see their work come to life in a filmed scene or photo shoot.
🎬 On-Set FX: Special Effects Makeup
Dive into the world of movie magic with special effects makeup! Students will learn how to create realistic injuries, scars, and fantasy looks using safe, hands-on techniques. Their creations will be featured in a short filmed project.
🎠From Script to Screen: Acting Camp
Learn how to act for the camera with confidence and authenticity. Students will practice auditions, perform scenes, and receive direction while learning the differences between stage and film acting. Each participant leaves with recorded performance clips.
