The Digg Site to Develop Permanent Location on Dana Campus
The Digg Site Productions is excited to announce the development of their nonprofit’s extended physical expansion location on the Dana Campus. This development will allow the non-profit to continue to deliver on their mission of offering education to youth through film, film programs, educational events and their annual film festival.
Director Stacy Heatherly has been scouting Dana Campus for four years and in early 2017 the organization was gifted an opportunity on the former campus to build a film studio and sound stage. This new development would allow The Digg Site to meet the needs and timeframe future productions require. Our their own, The Digg Site has scouted opportunities in Fremont with no success.
“I am humbled by the opportunity we have been given and excited about our future,” said Stacy Heatherly, founder and director of The Digg Site Productions. “We established our roots in Fremont in 2003 and with the support of the community and many great donors we look forward to the future in Fremont through utilizing the Dana Campus.”
Recently, 12 Days Of Giving Film wrapped and Eastern Nebraska Film Office (serving under The Digg Site organization) is securing two more films and a mini series that would all start over the next two years.
“Our organization continues to gain additional work and we need to have permanent physical space to accommodate these needs, said Stacy. “Having a film studio and sound stage for aspects of filming would allow us to better utilize our resources and continue to earn additional filming rights. ”
To allow for community members to ask questions and celebrate this new opportunity, The Digg Site Productions invites community members to join their board on Wednesday, March 8, from 7-8 p.m. J’s Steakhouse in Fremont for an informational Q & A session.
